Project Life 4/23- 4/29

W

ow! What can I say but thanks *so* much for all the kind comments on my journal giveaway post here. If you haven't yet left a comment to enter the drawing, you have until tomorrow, Wednesday the 5th to do so~ and I'm not fishing for compliments! I found myself totally humbled by the things you shared. I *loved* hearing about all of you who have found great delight in compiling a thankfulness journal. So, so cool.

Time for me to post the last week's worth of photos, one each day, for Project Life.

::Friday 4/23/2010
I think this was my favorite photo from the "Week in the Life" project. Photos where I grab a glimpse of relationships are really valuable to me. This totally captured Hannah and Abbie's relationship right now.

Jon and our Great Pyreneese Lance. Lance gets scads of attention in our large family, but it is never enough, it seems!

"Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds!" Luke 12:24

One of the most vivid double rainbows that we have seen in a long, long time! Fleetingly beautiful!

The chives in my herb garden bring me great delight this time of year....

Tom leaving for his job as a police sergeant. Our 24th anniversary is next week... I can't even begin to tell you how much I passionately love this man. He leads our family so well, follows hard after the Lord himself and loves me sacrificially. I can ask nothing more.

Timmy's curls. Probably time for a little trim, but not too much~ I *love* those curls!

A big thanks to Sara, who is hosting Project Life this week while Jessica is in the Dominican Republic with World Vision! You can follow Jessica's adventures there on her blog. What a fabulous life-changing experience that is sure to be!

  1. I am a huge fan of curls. Please don't trim off too much, I love seeing his cute face and curls every week. That is a beautiful first photo also. Happy Anniversary early and Happy Mother's day early. Hope you have a great weekend, maybe a little pampering and relaxing is in order for you. Thank you for another week of beautiful photos.

Congrats on your 24th wedding anniversary, I thought Ray and I were doing well, we celebrate our 12th on Sunday, only half of yours. Wonderful that you are still so in love with your hubby, hope Ray and I can still say the same in another 12!

  7. I truly enjoyed this post! :) I loved all the pictures! I love the apron your one daughter is wearing....how it doesn't go around the back of the neck. I want to get one like that someday soon, hopefully! :)

My parents owned a Great Pyrenese (Cali...because she was from Cali-fornia! ;) Sadly, she had to be put down a few months ago. She had cancer and was pretty old too. She was such a sweet dog with lots of energy! :)

My youngest gets curls like that as well....I love when they grow in...then hate to cut them...but he looks handsome with short hair too and I always know the sweet curls will grow back, soon. :)

  8. Susan,

All the pictures are lovely, but I really like the one of the girls doing the dishes together (and looking like they enjoy it!). Plus, I like your little sheep in the window. ;)

Timmy's curls are so cute! I remember some of my boys having curls like that when younger. Now they keep their hair short, so no more curls. And my girls, unfortunately none of them inherited my curls.

  10. ~Katie~ Thanks! The girls and I love aprons~ so pretty and fun to wear! So sorry that your parents had to put Cali down... we've had to do that too~ really sad, even though it's "just" a pet. : (

~Anne~ Hi friend! I've missed "seeing" you on your blog, etc. I'll be praying for you and your sweet family....

~Kathy~ thanks *so* much! I really like to travel, but I am a little nervous about leaving Tom and the other children for so long! I know it's silly to feel that way, we'll have *lots* of fun, but still! Hope you have a wonderful weekend on your beautiful farm, my friend!
