Early spring thoughts and travels

I thought I'd pop in for a moment so those of you who live in colder climates would smile....

After my post with photos of the little bits of green spring growth around here I received several comments and emails lamenting your *lack* of verdant green in your neck of the woods.

This is what we awoke to this past Monday!  We honestly weren't too disappointed~ it was so pretty and it didn't last long at all.

Jacob, Caleb and I are off on a little adventure later today.  My parents and flying us out to visit them and go hiking in Death Valley, CA, then in Zion National Park, UT!  Later today it will be 105 degrees in Death Valley (!!) and in the 50s-60s when we hike in Zion Ntl Park.  Fun times await!

I hope to have lots of photos to post here in a few days!

  2. You make it look so pretty! You sure have a way with pictures. I love that last one! They look like ice cream cones! The pansy ones with a 'side' of snow, so sweet!
Our snow is subsiding, and I did finally see a group of crocuses hiding out! We are in mid Michigan.

  6. What GORGEOUS photos Susan! (But what do we expect when we visit here?) Isn't it interesting how the flowers can be up and snow can come...just *one last time*?? Makes for a great photo shoot. :)

Thank you for your sweet words of encouragement to me regarding our recent challenges around here. Your friendship is a blessing. The LORD is good. All the time!

Many blessings to you my friend!

  9. This is so pretty, that's why I always love your photos, who could resist these. The weather is crazy where I live, all the snow has finally stopped but the rain and wind and cold keep coming and it isn't even Spring weather yet. It really is putting a damper on our moods lately, come on spring we want you here!! Thanks for sharing these and enjoying the snow you got.
