A Bible that's falling apart

"A Bible that's falling apart usually belongs to someone who isn't."

~Charles Spurgeon

Not to imply that I'm never "falling apart," but still.....

"But his delight is in the law of the Lord,
And in Hhis law he meditates day and night.
He will be like a tree firmly planted by streams of water,
Which yields it's fruit in it's season
And it's leaf does not wither;
And in whatever he does, he prospers."
Psalms 1:2,3

  1. Hi susan, I LOVe th is...you know my dad repairs Bible covers and sometimes will put new ones on if needed. Seriously...I can give you the link to his website if you want it. Oh, I LOVED your Bible photos...this is so cool :) :) Washing oneself in the Word of God :) :) It's the best :) :) A friend of mine at church is going on a mission's trip to Brazil this month. Her little Bible was in tatters. My dad and I wanted to recover her Bible. At first we were going to try and "steal" it, cover it, put it back without her knowing..except she didn't have another copy. So we knew that wouldn't work. So instead today, I asked her if we could do that for her...pt a new cover on. Her eyes became round as saucers and she started crying a little bit. She'd been praying for a new cover for her Bible...so availability met opp ortunity and a chance to bless a sister in Christ ;) :) She's going to pick up her "new" Bible tomorrow :) :)

Have a great week :) :) Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

  2. Just as a random sidenote, I LOVE Micron pens. I have a few myself. They are wonderful. Do you find they work well for taking notes in your Bible? Does the color bleed through to the next page? I've used Micron pens in scrapbooking. Love and hugs from Oregon, Heather :)

  3. Love the CS quote and am glad to see what you have been doing. WOW! You are more than an inspiration to me!!

I will pray safety and courage for you this summer. :)

Our family just got a pool pass for the summer, so I will think about you when I am exercising in the pool. That is about the ONLY thing I like doing outside in the summer!

I'm trying to live and breathe in His Truth. It is comforting to see you are, too! Heaven will be such fun with so many sisters and brothers!

  5. ~Thanks Heather, I send you an email, but just in case you didn't receive it I'll post here as well. *Loved* the story you shared about your father recovering your friend's Bible! What a fabulous blessing for her! And yes, the Pigma Micron pens are wonderful for using in Bibles. You would think that they would bleed through the pages, but they don't! For anyone else who is interested in purchasing them, here's a little tip: use the 40% off coupon at Jo-Anns! That makes them affordable.

~Susan~ Have fun at the pool this summer! I agree with you~ swimming is really all that this weather is good for! I keep telling myself that "I enjoy this heat," etc, but it's a lie! Yuck! I keep trying to get used to it though! : )

~Cinnamon~ thanks, friend! One of these days we'll get to meet "for real!" : )
